Texas Open Meetings Act for Community Colleges

Community College Services’ OMA basics online course focuses on the OMA’s application in the community college context—and specifically on college trustees’ compliance.

The Texas Open Meetings Act (OMA) regulates the conduct of community colleges’ official business so that it is open and transparent to the public. Community College Services offers an OMA basics online course that focuses on the OMA’s application in the community college context—and specifically on college trustees’ compliance with the Act in their performance of duties. The course satisfies the Texas Attorney General OMA training requirements for community college trustees and is available for newly elected trustees meeting their 90-day OMA training deadline as well as previously elected trustees seeking a refresher on the OMA’s requirements.

The course is available in the TASB store
